Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my artwork. The following information hopefully answers the most common questions I get asked. Shop Policies
The information in this document refers to art purchased directly from my website at michaelprovenza.com. Because my fine art reproductions are printed on demand, the art could take up to 2-3 weeks to deliver.
Payment
Taxes will be applied to the cost of the art during checkout. Shipping/packaging costs will also be added to the price for deliveries in the United States during checkout. Currently, art is only sold online for shipments in the U.S. including Hawaii and Alaska. Please contact us (or one of our galleries) if you would like to purchase art that will need to be shipped outside of the U.S. We will send a separate link to pay usig one of our accepted payment methods (see below). Artwork prices are subject to change at any time, but not after a purchase has been processed via the website.
Payments are processed with Braintree, a platform that delivers PayPal, Venmo (in the US), credit and debit cards, and popular digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Payment is only accepted through the michaelprovenza.com website or through a special link we provide. Checks and money orders are not accepted.
Privacy
Your contact and payment information entered into the michaelprovenza.com website is secure, protected and never shared. Your address and contact information are stored in order to process your shipment. More here.
Printing & Materials
A selection of my original art is captured and printed on beautiful canvas and/or metal using museum-quality inks and materials, produced in limited quantities as well as open editions. My fine art prints are never digitally retouched.
Giclee fine art prints on canvas are created using solvent inks and premium exhibition canvas for the highest quality image detail, depth of color, and brilliance. Solvent inks vs. die based inks are used for the best weather resistance. There is no extra coating because the canvas is already glossy.
Giclee fine art prints on paper are created on premium art paper, utilizing professional imaging equipment to yield unmatched quality with remarkable detail, color saturation and depth of image.
Metal prints are created using a dye-sublimation process that combines fine art printing, high tech materials and intense heat to produce a vibrant print dyed into the surface of a piece of aluminum. The finished process is timeless as well as modern and lightweight for easy hanging in any environment. The metal has a white gloss so the image pops from the high gloss surface of the metal with unrivaled vibrancy and power. Print on metal should be properly handled to avoid scratching or denting. Prints on metal do work well in environments where humidity and exposure to moisture is a concern.
Framing
The giclee prints are offered unframed (shipped in a tube or flat depending on size), gallery wrapped with the image mirrored on the sides or wood framed with or without a white linen liner. The hanging wire and hardware are supplied for gallery wrapped and framed prints.
The metal prints are offered two ways, without a frame/mount or with a matte black 1.5 aluminum frame backing (already adhered) which gives it a premium gallery finish. The hanging bracket is supplied with the back frame option. If ordered without a back-frame, the metal art will need to be framed in order to hang.
How do I buy an original?
I create as many original oil paintings as possible and release them to galleries listed on my website. If you discovered my art in a gallery, please check back with them to purchase my art. Authorized galleries have access to all of my art regardless of where it’s on exhibit, as long as it’s still available. New releases are usually advertised beforehand via social media (Instagram: mjprovenza | Facebook: michael.provenza.artist | Pinterest: michael-provenza-art). Shipping
We do not refund for items delivered after their expected delivery date. All transit and delivery times are just estimates.
It is YOUR responsibility to correctly indicate the shipping address for your order AT CHECKOUT. We often ship within 2 weeks of the receipt of an order and we will ship to the address provided at the time of checkout. We cannot be responsible for additional shipping costs required for returned, rerouted or misdelivered items due to incorrect addresses being provided at checkout.
We reserve the right to ship via the method we choose to ensure timely and safe delivery of your shipment(s). Our primary shipping methods are 1. FedEx 2. UPS and 3. USPS. A PHYSICAL ADDRESS WILL BE REQUIRED (no P.O. Boxes) for delivery of your order.
Most of the artwork ships within 2-3 weeks following receipt of the order. Prints are usually shipped via FedEx and typically require 4-7 business days to arrive following their pickup date, and they may require up to a total of 10 business days transit time. If you need your item earlier than this, please contact me!
When your item ships, an email notification will be sent to the email address provided with the tracking information. Please monitor your bulk/spam folder as these notifications sometimes arrive there. Our shippers will use your contact information to send your purchased artwork.
Once your item is shipped, it should arrive within the timelines specified by the shipping company used. We cannot be responsible for delays in transit time caused by adverse weather conditions, missed hub pickups or failed delivery attempts.
Refunds and Exchanges
From Dec 1 to Dec 25, orders go to production instantly. Cancellations are not accepted at any time after the order is received. Please review all details of the order and be certain you wish to place the order prior to submitting it. If your shipping information is incorrect, it is not necessary to cancel. Simply contact us with a correct address. If you ordered a wrong size or format, simply contact us and we’ll arrange an item exchange if the artwork hasn’t been printed already.
Due to the nature of my artwork, all orders are non-refundable upon receipt of the order. By ordering and submitting payment, you agree to these terms. If items are damaged in transit, an insurance claim will be filed to recoup the costs of the piece(s) and they will be replaced. For items canceled within 12 hours of purchase, a shop credit will be issued, less 15% restock charge.
If you are unhappy with the quality of the piece, please contact me immediately. I will be happy to work with you to reach a satisfactory resolution which includes a replacement or shop credit upon return of the artwork, less original shipping charges.
If an item arrives damaged, we will repair the item in a timely fashion (or reprint), and will reship to the original shipping address. You must report damaged or missing items in an order within 24 hours of delivery.
International Buyers
YOU MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING DUTIES/TAXES ON YOUR PURCHASES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEM. These charges are applied by your government/postal system. We are unaware of when and how much will be applied and we are not responsible for these amounts. Please be aware of this prior to making your purchase. If your art is to be delivered outside of the United States, please email me directly to place your order.

Please note that I retain all rights to all artwork, even THOSE of sold and commissioned original PAINTINGS. I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (THIS IS IN ADDITION TO SIMPLY PURCHASING THE ORIGINAL). The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.
The collector has the right to display the artwork in their home or business. Artwork may not be resold or reproduced for profit in any way without the artist’s written permission.
